Travel health, vaccines and safety in Italy

Safety in Italy:

Theft: watch out for pickpockets especially in the most touristic areas. Be careful with the car also, always leave it well-locked and with nothing in plain view. Do not open the boot if there are suitcases in it when you are going to leave the car parked.

Driving: Italian driving is something special: it is quite normal for them to be two feet from your car if they want to overtake. Therefore, it is always better to stay in the right-hand lane going into the left-hand lane only to overtake and always leaving a safe distance between you and the car in front. Be extra careful when driving through cities, especially Naples, where local driving could be described as "chaotic".

Vaccinations to travel Italy:

In principle, no vaccinations are required to travel to Italy.

Contact the Italian consulate in your country to find out if there have been any changes.
