Plan your trip with our itineraries

Suggested itinerary: Brazil in 10 days (oct-mar)

Day 1: Arrival in Rio: botecos

Arrival in Rio. The Smart Route will indicate you the best way to get from the airport to the city center. For the first day, we will give you a "botecos" route (tapas bars), the  hottest locals in the neighborhood of Leblon. Night in Rio de Janeiro (in the Smart Route we will recommend you, for each city or town, the hotels and pousadas where to sleep depending on your budget).

Day 2: Rio beaches, Corcovado and Sugar Loaf

In the morning we suggest to do a route to enjoy and watch the atmosphere of Rio beaches (Ipanema, Leblon and Copacabana). After eating, we will show you how to get to the famous Corcovado to see the statue of Christ the Redeemer. Then climb to the Sugar Loaf to see the sunset and dine in the picturesque district of Urca. Night in Rio.

Day 3: Rio City Center and flight to Salvador de Bahia

Spend the morning  visiting the iconic Maracana stadium and the most important points of the city center, including the impressive Metropolitan Cathedral. In the afternoon take a flight to Salvador. The Smart Route will tell you how to do all the visits and how to get to the airport from the center of Rio and then how to go from Salvador's airport to your hotel. Night in Salvador.

Day 4: Salvador de Bahia

This day we recommend you to visit the city of Salvador. In the Smart Route you will find a walking itinerary for the Pelourinho, the best places to eat in the Modelo Market and how to get to the other attractions in the city, such as the church do Bomfin, the Farol da Barra and the neighborhood Rio Vermelho. Night in Salvador.

Day 5: From Salvador to Morro de Sao Paulo

The Smart Route will indicate you the best way to get from Salvador to Morro de Sao Paulo (Tinhare Island) and the best places to watch the sunset and have dinner in town. We will also tell you in which "praia" to book your pousada and which are the best value for money ones. Night in Morro de Sao Paulo.

Day 6: Morro de Sao Paulo: the beaches

Dedicate this day to visit the famous Praias of Morro de Sao Paulo. The Smart Route will indicate you what time is the best to go to each of them and where to do snorkelling. Night in Morro de Sao Paulo.

Day 7: Morro de Sao Paulo and Gamboa

For this day we will indicate you a walking route to go from Morro to Gamboa by Praia Porto da Cima. Gamboa is a rustic fishing village where you will be able to eat very good fish at very good prices. Night in Morro de Sao Paulo.

Day 8: Boat trip around Tinhare island

We strongly recommend a boat tour around the island as you can get to know places virtually unreachable by foot, such as Garapuá Natural Pool, Natural Pools of Moreré or the historic city of Cairú. The Smart Route will tell you the best place to book the tour at the best price. Night in Morro.

Day 9: Back to Salvador and flight to Rio

The Smart Route will indicate you the best way to return from Morro to Salvador de Bahia and where to buy tickets at the best price. It will also show you how to get to the airport to take your flight back to Rio de Janeiro. Night in Rio de Janeiro.

Day 10: The favelas, the Botanic Garden and flight back home

If you have time before your flight's departure we recommend you to spend the morning visiting a favela and the Botanical Garden. The Smart Route will tell you how to do both things in the safest way and how to get to the airport to take your flight back home.
