Safety in Amsterdam:
Take a minimum of care with pickpockets and bag thieves in the tourist areas where there are a lot of people. But, without a doubt, the biggest danger in the city is to be hit by a bicycle ;) Although silent, they circulate all the streets without stopping.
Don't forget to look both ways before crossing the street!
