Visit to the Siena Duomo:

  • Brief description: the Siena Duomo is one of the most beautiful and impressive cathedrals in all Italy. In its interior can be found works of art by artists as important as Michelangelo and Donatello. A visit inside the catedral is sufficient, although art lovers may find of particular interest the Battistero, the Crypt and the Opera Museum.
  • How to get there: in the Piazza del Duomo. Park your car outside the walls and walk there.
  • Cost: Usually tickets cost €4, except from 08/18 to 10/26 when the atonishing floor is uncovered and tickets cost €7. The OPA si Pass cost €13 from 03/01 - 10/31 and from 26/12 - 10/01, and €8 from 01/11 - 24/12 and from 11/01 - 28/02 (combined ticket to enter the Duomo, Opera Museum, Facciatone, Crypt, Oratory and Battistero). For tickets to the exhibits separately  check the official website. There is a 1€ fee for purchasing each ticket online.
  • Opening hours: Opening at 10:30, closing at 19:00 during all year, except from 01/11 - 24/12 that it closes at 17:30.
  • Length of visit: 30min if you only enter the cathedral, 2h in the case of a complete visit.
