Dining at the historic part of Rome:

To get your Italian trip off to a good start, we recommend that you go for dinner at Maccheroni (Piazza delle Coppelle, 44), one of Rome´s most famous restaurants. This is one of the best places to eat mozzarella in all Rome. Make a reservation in advance, above all at weekends (Tel. 06 68307895 or by email: reservations@ristorantemaccheroni.com). To get there take the metro (1,50€) to Piazza di Spagna (line A direction Batistini). Once there, walk to Piazza delle Coppelle. The restaurant is on a corner.

All along the way you are walking through the historic part of Rome, so go with your eyes wide open because it is really beautiful! Don´t forget to order a plate of mozzarella or caprese salad and the Maccheroni Amatriciana. Another geat dish is the Ravioli ai Fiore di Zucca (a type of courgette with mozzarella). Order the house wine as it is of good quality and cheap. Around 30€ per head.

Near to the Maccheroni is Le Coppelle 52, a place with an excellent atmosphere to have a drink. Or if you prefer, very close by you have the Piazza Navona, where you can have an ice-cream for dessert at any of the ice-cream shops.
