Taipei Children's Amusement Park:

Taipei Amusement Park

Taipei has its own amusement park. It's a bit old-fashioned, with a bit basic attractions and the payment is a bit complicated to understand, but the truth is that children like it. We do not recommend going on weekends, because the queues are endless. And if you go on the weekend, make sure it is a day that does not rain, but also not a day that is very sunny and hot, because there is little shade and you literally fry yourself. In the park there are typical fast food stalls at acceptable prices, but it is not  very healthy or tasty food, so it does not hurt to bring food and a water bottle from home (there fountains all around the park).

The best attractions for children over 8 years old: You cannot miss the roller coaster (Magic Star Trek - 30 NTD), the pirate ship (Swing Ship - 30 NTD), and the drop tower (30 NTD).

The best attractions for young children: Telecombat (Spinning Aircraft - 20 NTD), Crazy Bus (Flying Bus - 20 NTD) and Ocean Carousel (20 NTD).

In summer (Jun-Sep), children also have the Aqua Planet (50 NTD), which is a kind of fountains in which you can get wet. If you go at that time, don't forget the swimsuit!

How to pay for the attractions of the Taipei Children Amusement Park:

To enter the park you have to pay a general admission worth 30 NTD (15 NTD for children from 7 to 11 years old and free for children under 7 years old). You can pay this at the entrance with the EasyCard or in cash (this has to be paid by everyone, even if they are not going to go up to the attractions).

To pay the rides you have two options:

  • Pay a one-day pass (all-inclusive ticket) that is valid for the day of purchase and costs 350 NTD (310 NTD for children under 12 years old). This ticket is purchased at the entrance, and is not available all year round (you have to ask at the box office).
  • Pay ride by ride (there are attractions that are worth 20, 30, 50 and 100 NTD). You can pay with the Easycard at the entrance of each attraction. The price is indicated on a poster.
If you go with older children and you are going to be there all day, it will surely be worth buying the 1-day pass. But if you go with small children or just for a while, better pay ride by ride, because it will be difficult for you to amortize it (the attractions have many height limitations, here you can check them).

Hours: Monday to Friday from 09.00-17.00, Saturdays and school holidays from 09.00-20.00, Sundays from 09.00-18.00.
